About the product

What is BopCut?

BopCut is a browser-based video editor and creative workspace. Its official website is bopcut.com.

A workspace built around your video

BopCut brings a timeline editor and an AI model catalog into one interface. The editor lets you import your own video, audio and images, arrange clips, adjust their duration and export a finished sequence. You work in a browser rather than installing a desktop editor.

The AI catalog presents image and video models with available settings and displayed prices. These tools are a separate part of the workspace: they require authenticated accounts and paid credits before generation can be enabled.

What can I use today?

The video editor is available. You can open it, import supported local media, build a sequence, preview it and export it. The interface also lets you browse the creative model catalog.

Paid AI generation is not yet available. Account authentication and payment services are still being connected. The presence of a model in the catalog does not mean that a generation can currently be purchased or run.

How BopCut handles a montage

For the video editor, media processing and export take place in your browser. Importing a local file into the montage does not upload it to an AI generation service. Future AI tools have different processing needs, so always check the information for the tool you intend to use.

Save your project and keep the original media files. A project file stores editing information and is different from an exported, playable video. Closing a tab or moving a source file can require you to reconnect the media later.

Start with a small project

A short sequence is the best way to check your browser and source files. Follow the getting started guide, then read the export guide before rendering a longer video. Our FAQ covers current limitations and common questions.
